Sagetap Sessions: Best Practices

Each Sagetap session is an opportunity to anonymously engage with relevant, cutting-edge software vendors, allowing them to glean actionable feedback and recommendations from you, and giving you an opportunity to learn about new and exciting tech.

Sagetap sessions take place via Zoom and are made up of two elements:


​Part 1: Live session between Sage and Vendor

This is an interactive discussion where the Vendor will share an overview of their solution and learn about what problem areas you and your team are looking to solve.

Part 2: Sage provides post-session feedback

After the completion of a session, you will be requested to submit open and honest feedback with the Vendor on their product and presentation, as well as have the opportunity to "opt-in" to reveal your identity. Read more about opt-ins here.

Note: For Research Calls, post-session feedback is not required.

Best Practices: During the Call

  • Join the call on time, ensuring your camera and microphone are working properly

  • Prepare for the call by reviewing the Vendor's Campaign description, Product Profile, and website ahead of time

  • Participate actively in the conversation, asking relevant questions so that you can fully understand the Vendor's offering

  • Inquire into the Vendor's pricing model so that you can effectively comment on the Budget element of the post-session feedback

  • Avoid driving the conversation with your own agenda, encouraging the Vendor to run through their pitch in full

Best Practices: After the Call

  • Deliver actionable and specific feedback to the Vendor within 24 hours of the completion of the call

    • Ensuring your feedback is detailed and provides significant benefit to the Vendor is of utmost importance

  • Expand on what the product means in the context of your own organization, and how it would interact with the issues you are looking to solve within your org

  • If you have sincere interest in the product, we encourage you to opt-in to reveal your identity to the Vendor and continue the conversation outside of our platform
