When you express genuine interest in a Vendor's product after a Sagetap session, you have the option to 'opt-in' to reveal your identity and continue the conversation outside of our platform. This article will explain what an opt-in is, how to manage your opt-ins, and what happens after you choose to opt-in.

How Does It Work?

After completing a Sagetap call, you can choose to opt-in by either:

  • Providing availability for a followup meeting with the Vendor
    or

  • Sharing your work email address to continue the discussion

If you select the 'Let's chat via email' option, you will need to provide a deadline by which the Vendor can expect to hear from you.

Note: If you opt-in, your name, email address, and place of employment are automatically revealed to the Vendor.

Managing Your Opt-Ins

To make the most out of your opt-ins, consider the following best practices:

  • Respond Promptly: Aim to reply as soon as possible to schedule next steps while the session is still fresh in your mind.

  • Review Session Details: Go over your feedback and any outstanding questions from the Sagetap session to ensure your communication is clear and effective.

  • Respect Your Timeline: Be mindful of the timeline you set for follow-up and be proactive in preparing for the next steps in the meantime.

Closing the Loop: Opt-in Follow-ups

When you opt-in after a session, you are expected to close the loop with the Vendor within the timeline you have provided.

As the deadline approaches, we will check in with the vendor to see if you have followed up with their team. Your responsiveness will be noted, and this information will be reflected on your profile under "Opt-in Responsiveness."

Should you not follow up with a vendor after opting in, your reputation will be negatively impacted.
