Understanding Post-Call Opt-In Decisions on Sagetap

After a vendor call, Sages can share their level of interest and choose whether to reveal their identity to the vendor.

This helps us facilitate fruitful relationships beyond meetings on Sagetap, and gives Sages the opportunity to share valuable feedback with the vendors they meet with - whether or not they choose to connect after the initial call.

How Post-Call Decisions Work

After a call is completed, you will be prompted to make a decision on how you would like to engage witth Sagetap separates the opt-in decision into two elements:

Interest in the product - “Yes, I’m interested” or “No, I’m not interested.”

Sharing identity - “Yes, share my contact info” or “No, don’t share my contact info.”

This creates four possible post-call states:

Interest

Share Identity

What it means

Yes

Yes

Sage is interested and reveals their name, email, and place of employment, inviting off-platform followup within the provided timeline.

Yes

No

Sage is interested but remains anonymous. They can choose to opt in at any time.

No

Yes

Sage is not currently interested but has shared their contact information, leaving the door open for future outreach from the vendor.

No

No

Sage is not interested and stays anonymous. No follow-up is possible on the vendor's end.

NOTE : The deal stage of each vendor connection (Interested, POC, Purchased or Passed) is updated by the Sage, and filters can be applied on the Connections page to view connections in the various deal stages.

Closing the Loop

It is imperative that you follow up with vendors within your proposed timeline should you indicate interest and share your identity. This helps us uphold a community of integrity and respect, and ensures that set expectations are always upheld.

You will receive reminders as deadlines approach to either share your availability, postpone the off-platform meeting, or close the opportunity if you are no longer.

Post opt-in responsiveness is recorded on the Sage profile under “Opt-in Responsiveness,” providing vendors with insight into a Sage's engagement history.
