Sending Sage Invites

A walkthrough of how to invite a Sage to your Campaign

Vendors now have the ability to invite Sages to their Campaigns, bypassing the need for Sages to go through the application process. This article will review the different methods of inviting a Sage to your Campaign, as well as what happens after an invite is sent.

How to Invite a Sage to your Campaign

From your Campaign

  1. Navigate to a Campaign where you would like to send a Sage invite

  2. Click on the Sages tab in the top navigation bar of your Campaign settings


    Here you will see Sages who have already interacted with your Campaign, as well as recommended Sages you are able to invite to your Campaign in order of most to least compatible based on your criteria


    You can also click the blue View all recommendations to view all possible Sage matches (this will redirect you to the Discover tab)

  3. Once you hone in on a Sage you would like to invite, you can click on the Sage's tile, which will route you to the Sage's profile or you can choose to send an invite directly from the Sage's tile

  4. Once on the profile, click Invite to Campaign

    • You will be prompted to add a message to your invite, select the Campaign this invite is regarding, and select the means of sharing your availability

  5. Once these fields have been filled out, your invite is sent to the Sage

From Discover

  1. Click the Discover tab in the left navigation bar of your Sagetap portal

  2. Here you will see an Initiatives tab and a Sages tab

    On the Initiatives tab, you can send Campaign invites to Sages whose Initiatives you believe could be solved by your product


    On the Sage tab, you can apply filters such as Rating, Endorsements, Last Activity, and Verified Adopter and more to filter for Sages that best match your product and Campaign.

  3. From either tab, you can view the Sage's profile and/or send the Sage an invite to your Campaign.

What Happens After an Invite is Sent

After you send an invite to a Sage, they will be notified via email as well as within their Sagetap portal. Along with the note included on your invite, they will be able to view the following:

  • Your Product Profile: Comprehensive information about your product, and how it solves specific problems.

  • Your Ratings and Reviews: Feedback and ratings from other Sages who have previously interacted with your Campaigns, located on the product profile.

    • Positive ratings can significantly influence a Sage’s decision.

  • Description of your Campaign: A detailed overview of your Campaign, including objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes.

The Sage can choose to either accept or decline your invite. You can monitor your invites on the Sage tab of your Campaign settings.

If the Sage accepts, you will be notified and a meeting will be scheduled for yourself and the Sage. If they decline, you will also be informed, allowing you to adjust your strategy or reach out to other Sages.

By inviting Sages to your Campaign, you can effectively leverage Sagetap to connect with influential technology leaders and drive your Campaign’s success.
