Overview
The Connections page acts as a CRM for Vendors on Sagetap, displaying a list of Sages that have made any connection to the vendor. This replaces the old Inbox and Connections pages. A Connection could be an application, an invitation, a chat, or a meeting, and may include a Deal.
The Recordings page remains and is the place to see completed meetings with feedback.
Each row is a Connection, and contains:
Name: The Sage alias, and their real name, if revealed
Company: The Sage company, if revealed, with the product the Sage met with below
Stage: The Stage of the associated deal
New
Accepted
Declined
Qualified
Trial
Closed-Won
Closed-Lost
Status: The current status
Generally, the most recent event
The latest chat message, if any, with a timestamp
If the last message was sent by any vendor stakeholder, it begins with You:
A button, if any action is required or advised
Schedule/Reschedule
Submit Review
Update a stage to match the Sage
Join Meeting
…
Date of the last activity on the connection
The default sort is by priority. Highest priority are meetings happening now or soon. After that, sort is based on last activity - which could include a meeting, a chat, a deal stage change, or other update.

In the left-hand navigation, a red dot next to Connections indicates unread chat messages. To reliably see these chat messages, use the filter for “Has Unread Chat messages”:
Filters
The buttons across the top are quick shortcut filters to states that are commonly needed.
Action Needed limits records to connections that need some sort of action from you - accepting an application, scheduling a meeting, writing a review, viewing a chat, etc.
Pending shows proposed meetings that are not yet scheduled
Upcoming shows scheduled meetings that have not yet occurred.
Completed shows meetings that have been completed
All Filters opens a dialog that gives you access to extremely detailed filtering.
The Filter dialog allows for multiple useful views of the vendor page, including the ability to find all Sages with any chat messages, the ability to filter only to connections where some action is needed, and various other aspects of connections.
Pro Tip: If you have preferred filters for particular tasks, you can bookmark the URL after applying filters to return to those filters already set.
Filter by meeting allows you to filter by meeting status, with counts of connections in each status. Check multiple boxes for multiple statuses.

Filter by Stage allows you to filter by Deal Stage, as shown, based on how you (the Vendor) have marked the deal for this connection. It is possible for the Sage to have a different value for the deal stage. Check multiple boxes to select multiple.
Identity allows you to filter on Sages based on whether you have contact information for them: Real Name, email, and company. The count shows the number in each state. (This count shows the total for that state only, not in combination with other filters you’ve selected.)
Filter by Origin: Outbound are invitations, Inbound are applications and meeting requests. The count shows the number in each state.
Filter by intent is the intent phase of the Sage when the meeting was proposed. The count shows the number in each state.
Filter by call type, with the counts showing you the number of connections for each call type.
Filter by connection creation date range. This will generally be the date a meeting was proposed (invitation date, application date, etc)
The Campaigns section of the filter will list all your campaigns, including archived ones. This is because you might have had meetings with the archived campaigns. A count of Sages is not shown.
You can select multiple of these filters for very complex filtering. Filters are applied as you check each box. The All Filters dropdown on the page will show a count of the number of active filters, making it easy to see how many filters have been applied. The “clear all” in the lower left of the filter dialog removes all filters.
Deal Stages
Deal stages are maintained separately for Vendors and Sages.
For Vendors, the possible states are:
Automatically assigned:
New (a connection is formed, but no meeting is accepted)
Accepted (meeting accepted via invitation or application)
Declined (meeting was declined by either party)
Vendor Assigned:
Qualified (Vendor assigned value)
Trial (Vendor assigned value)
Closed-Won (Vendor assigned value)
Closed-Lost (Vendor assigned value)
The Vendor can move a connection to Qualified, Trial, Closed-Won, or Closed-Lost at any time. Doing so does not change the Sage’s value on their initiative or connection, but it does alert the Sage of the change.
The Sage can move a connection to POC, Purchased, or Passed at any time. This does not change the Vendor’s deal stage, but it does send a message to the Vendor and suggests that they change the deal stage to match.
If the Vendor thinks the Sage’s deal stage change is inaccurate, they can communicate with the Sage to clarify, or contact their Vendor Success rep to dispute a marked purchase.
Action Needed
The Action Needed filter highlights connections that are expecting some action from you.
These actions include:
Schedule/Reschedule/Review Times
Submit Review
Review a Deal Stage change from a Sage, and update yours
Join Meeting
Clicking on a row will open the activity drawer.
Any actions needed will be pinned to the bottom of the activity drawer and presented as a green button. Optional actions are available from the three dots.
Optional actions include:
Cancel the meeting
Reschedule a currently scheduled meeting
Change planned participants for a meeting
Propose different times than currently proposed
Identity Pane
The right-hand side contains an identity pane. This collapses next to Events and Chat on narrower screens.
This pane also contains the state of the deal and any initiative attached.
In this case, the Sage is Identified and their information is shown.
To see more about Deals, or learn more about the Sage, you can click the turndown arrows in those sections.
You can update the deal stage and update the expected deal size:
Updating a deal stage sends a message to the Sage with an optional note.
Additional information about this Sage is available in the Background section, whether or not the Sage has revealed their identity.
Accepting a meeting
A Sage that has proposed a meeting will look like this. Clicking a row opens the Activity Drawer, where you can review and accept it.
In the Activity Drawer, you can see the details of the Application. At the bottom, there are buttons to accept or decline. If you need more information from the Sage, you can use Chat to ask clarifying questions.
“The message request is pending” means that the Sage has not yet responded. You cannot send additional messages until the Sage replies.
When you decline a meeting, you are asked to send a reason to the Sage:
Please note this message is sent to the Sage, and that Sages appreciate clarity in how they can improve or further engage with you, if they are still interested.
If you change your mind, you may reconsider:
This returns you to the regular application acceptance flow:
After a meeting
After a meeting, you have two opportunities to review a Sage. First, immediately after the meeting, where you can rate the Sage’s participation in the meeting and application process.
There is a second opportunity to review the Sage’s feedback after the Sage has submitted it. This will also be indicated with an Action green button, but it will read Submit Survey.
Scheduling a Meeting
When a Sage proposes times, you can see the times and choose one to accept from the activity drawer, using the pinned bottom action.
The green button allows you to accept one of the times or propose new ones, as well as select the meeting participants on your side. If the times are past or no longer available, they will be greyed out.
Actions that are outside of the normal workflow are available from the three-dot button:
Propose new times from this page, where you can also change your participants:
In addition to proposing alternative times, you may also simply share a team calendar. This is the fastest way to ensure a Sage can pick a time that works for them.
