Q: Who are Sages?

A: Sages are tech buyers focused on Security, Engineering/DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure & Data Infrastructure within major organizations. They are early adopters who are looking for the latest products coming to market to solve the problems their organizations are presently facing.

Sages have titles that are primarily Director, VP, and CxO who come from companies in North America, and a smaller presence in EMEA.

Q: How many Sages are in your network?

A: There are currently over 5,000 Sages in network, and growing rapidly.

Q: Why do Sages participate?

A: By participating on the Sagetap platform, Sages are able to learn about the latest products coming to market in an enjoyable, anonymous, non-sales experience. No spam and no follow-ups unless Sages choose to opt-in.

You can learn more about Sage opt-ins in the Help Center article linked here.

Sages have the option to receive direct compensation for providing feedback after each session, as well as the option to donate this compensation to their charity of choice. We encourage them to provide contextual and actionable feedback that helps the Vendors improve and iterate on their product, helping them to shape the future of tech.

Q: What types of Vendors are invited to Sagetap?

A: Sagetap accepts a limited number of software Vendors each month that align with our community's interests. We focus on high-growth, earlier stage companies working on innovative approaches to Security, Dev/DevOps, and Cloud & Data infra.

Q: Who Typically Presents on Sagetap Sessions?

A: For earlier-stage companies, their executives are often presenting. For companies with a more established sales team, an Account Executive or Sales Engineer is generally presenting.

Q: How long does it take to get started?

A: Vendors are on average conducting meetings within one week of signing up for Sagetap. You can expect to receive applications to your listing within 3-5 days.

Q: Are Sagetap sessions confidential?

A: All participants of a Sagetap meeting sign confidentiality agreements. Everything shared during Sagetap sessions cannot be shared or discussed externally by the participants.

If you would prefer to keep your company name anonymous, you can enable Stealth mode, allowing Sages to meet with your team without revealing your organization's identity.

Q: Can we blacklist certain accounts?

A: You can indeed blacklist certain accounts.

To do this, you can provide your Sagetap Account Representative with a list of applicable accounts so that prevent Sages that work at your blacklisted organizations from applying to your Campaigns.

Q: Can we do a follow meeting up with a Sage that does not opt-in?

A: Yes. You may schedule a follow-up session via Sagetap with a Sage that does not opt-in. The follow up session will cost the same as the initial session, and the Sage can still remain anonymous.

Q: Do all Sages have real buying intent?

A: We take the quality of our Sage community extremely seriously.

Every Sage is required to verify their work email address to ensure they are actively employed and in a position to adopt new technology. We require all Sages to answer custom qualifying questions to clarify their environment, pain points, technology use case, and intent.

You can view a Sage's reputation on their profile, reflected in various ratings and metrics. These elements are generated from feedback provided by Vendors they have met with. You can learn more about Sage reputation here.
