Our goal is to keep this a collaborative space where all participants can thrive. While rare, serious or repeated violations of these guidelines may result in limited access to the platform. We always aim to address concerns openly and fairly, with transparency as our guiding principle.
Be Honest and Authentic
We ask that all Sages maintain honesty and transparency in their profiles, applications, and conversations. This includes:
Accurately sharing your role, company size, and other profile details.
Representing your initiatives truthfully in applications.
Only applying to opportunities that align with your genuine interests.Applying in high volume without clear alignment can signal a lack of intent and may lead to an account review.
Following through on opt-ins by responding within the timeline you’ve set.
Note: Your Opt-in Responsiveness is visible on your Sage profile and reflects your reliability. Timely follow-ups build trust and productive conversations, while missed responses can negatively affect your reputation on the platform. By staying engaged, you help preserve the value of the Sagetap network for everyone.
Avoid Existing Vendor Relationships
If you already have an active sales conversation or prior engagement with a vendor outside of Sagetap, please avoid applying to that vendor’s campaigns. This helps maintain the integrity of our matching process.
Not sure if it counts? Marketing emails or past conference booths don’t count as active relationships, but recent calls or email exchanges do.
Provide Thoughtful Feedback
Your feedback is one of the most valuable parts of the platform. We ask that it be specific, actionable, and relevant to the vendor and their product. Vague or copy-paste responses don’t add value.
If a vendor flags your feedback as incomplete or unhelpful multiple times, we may reach out to understand the situation and work with you on improving future submissions.
Please submit feedback within 72 hours of completing a call.
Use AI Responsibly
We understand AI tools can be helpful for proofreading or refining ideas, but feedback and applications should reflect your authentic perspective. Relying on AI to fully generate responses or create generic content does not provide the insight vendors are seeking and can diminish the value of your expertise.
If AI use is flagged, we will reach out for clarification before taking any action.
Engage Professionally During Sessions
Calls should be treated as professional conversations. Please:
Review the vendor’s or Sage's profile before the call.
Come prepared with relevant questions.
Stay engaged throughout the discussion.
We don’t expect deep product knowledge, but demonstrating interest and attention ensures a great experience for everyone.
Avoid Conflicts of Interest
Do not engage with vendors who are direct competitors of your current employer or affiliated organization.
Respect Confidentiality and Privacy
We follow the Chatham House Rule - you can use insights shared in discussions for your work, but you may not attribute them to individuals or share them outside the Sagetap community. Respect personal and confidential information at all times.
Maintain a Positive, Respectful Environment
Communicate with courtesy and professionalism.
Keep posts relevant to the community’s purpose.
Avoid political content, advertising, spam, or self-promotion.
Absolutely no hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory behavior will be tolerated.
Reporting Issues
If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it to the Sagetap team. We will review all reports promptly and fairly.
Accountability and Enforcement
Our goal is education and collaboration first, not punishment. If we notice patterns of behavior that don’t align with these guidelines, we will reach out to you to discuss.
Repeated or severe violations, however, may result in temporary suspension or removal from the platform.
