Sagetap transforms the technology marketplace by elevating simple transactions into valuable partnerships. We've cultivated a community built on shared knowledge and mutual support, where all participants can thrive together.
To maintain this collaborative environment, certain behaviors may result in reprimands, payment withholding, or removal from our platform.
Our policies safeguard the integrity and authenticity of the Sagetap community. While we recognize that situations often involve nuance and context, transparency and honesty remain our core values. When Sages communicate openly and truthfully, most issues can be resolved collaboratively without requiring disciplinary measures.
Sagetap reserves the right to remove any person, entity, or organization from its community and platform. Furthermore, we also reserve the right to change, amend, or otherwise alter these guidelines at our sole discretion. Your participation in the Sagetap community confirms your acknowledgment and agreement to this.
Initiative Authenticity & Application Volume
Sages must maintain honesty and transparency regarding their initiatives and pitch session applications. While we encourage exploration, authenticity remains essential.
Applying to multiple vendors outside your stated initiatives may trigger an account review. We investigate only when patterns suggest disingenuous intent.
Rather than imposing strict numerical limits on applications, we expect Sages to demonstrate genuine interest in each opportunity they pursue. High-volume applicants will receive fair evaluation based on the authenticity of their engagement.
Engaging with Vendors You Have an Existing Relationship With
Any Sage engaging with Vendors with whom they have already had discussions outside of Sagetap is in violation of our community guidelines.
A relationship constitutes a meeting, recent two-way email correspondence, or active engagement in any stage of the sales or procurement process initiated by the Sage.
A marketing email does not constitute a relationship.
Attending a conference that a vendor exhibited at does not constitute a relationship.
Time is a factor. We do not expect every Sage to remember who they met with in the distant past. In these instances, no action will be taken.
Poor Session Feedback
Feedback is classified as poor or subpar if it is vague, not pertinent to the Vendor or their product, not actionable, or indicates a lack of thought or intention. Vendors can flag this kind of feedback, which will then be reviewed and categorized internally.
If feedback that falls under this category is flagged multiple times, account deactivation may be warranted.
It is expected that feedback be provided within 72 hours of the completion of a Live Pitch.
AI-Generated Content
We consider using AI to generate feedback, submit applications, or create any other written or audio content on the Sage or Vendor side of the community to be disingenuous. It is, therefore, forbidden to use AI to generate any content on our platform.
AI usage as part of the creative process or to correct grammar and punctuation is acceptable. In these instances, no corrective action will be taken.
If a user is flagged for AI content, their account use will be investigated. If necessary, they will be given the opportunity to explain their use of AI.
Poor Session Participation
A lack of participation in a call is categorized as red flag behavior. The following elements constitute subpar participation:
Asking vague questions, or questions unrelated to the product
Being distracted throughout a call, reflecting a lack of engagement
Demonstrating insufficient preparation by lacking basic knowledge of the vendor's product
We expect Sages to familiarize themselves with fundamental information available in the vendor's communications and Sagetap profile. While expertise is not required, basic understanding demonstrates professional courtesy and genuine interest.
Engaging with Competitors
Sages are expected to avoid engaging with Vendors who may be considered competitors of their employer or affiliated organization. Intentionally engaging with competitors will be considered a violation of our community guidelines.
Inaccurate Application Responses
If information provided in answers to a Campaign questionnaire is determined to be intentionally misleading or inaccurate, action can be taken. This includes:
Misrepresenting the level of intent to purchase
Misrepresenting the status of an open initiative or an initiative timeline
Inaccurately describing your level of knowledge on a given subject
Misrepresenting your role within an organization
Incorrect Profile Details
If any of the following details on your Sagetap profile are determined to be knowingly incorrect, action can be taken:
